Commercial Herd Doe's
I started with Spanish Does back 1992 and then in the mid 90's purchased 2 Boer Spanish cross bucks with the hopes of putting a bit more size in the offspring for the commercial meat goat market. Then several years later brought several Full blood ABGA bucks. I never joined the association or had any of them transferred into my name but I still have a lot of the registration papers and some application forms from them. Blood lines from these bucks still exist in my commercial does. They include: TQ L1 sired by MZ TAZAMA #10026712 SA, JV257 SAMSON, OW MO20 MAJOR, SPUDSI-RS sired BG TARZAN and grand sire KAPTENE, KUMAR RS sired by JV257 SAMSON#259, CAPE TOWN RS, JVW ERNIE #69 sired by HILL COUNTRY CROWN AMBASSADOR, KAPTENE KRUNCH #10052069. The red buck that I bought in 2001 was sired by SMIT JS7 #10090947 who was sired by NEW MEXICO BOER GOATS MAARTEN. This red buck when put with my Boer Spanish cross does produced quite a few spotted kids. I kept him and used him until his front teeth fell out and the vet checked sperm count was no good. So you see these does may be considered commercial but they have top quality Boer Blood Lines and that special touch of Spanish that makes them the perfect meat goat.
